Booking your funded sessions
Serving WA Police officers and police staff can book directly with Axis for 12 fully funded sessions. You do not need to arrange a referral or prior approval, and sessions can address personal or work-related concerns.
Appointments are available in private Perth CBD rooms and by telehealth. If further sessions are needed after the initial 12, Brent discusses this with you and Axis seeks ongoing funding through Health and Welfare.
What to tell us when you make contact.
Let Axis know that you are with WA Police, whether you prefer Perth CBD or telehealth and a broad indication of what you would like help with. You do not need to provide a detailed history in the initial enquiry.

Personal and work-related concerns
Police work can involve critical incidents, repeated exposure, moral injury, organisational pressure, sleep disruption and effects on relationships and life outside work. The person's broader history and current circumstances also matter.
Therapy may focus on trauma, anxiety, adjustment, emotion regulation, alcohol or other coping patterns, relationships, occupational stress and returning to a more workable level of functioning. Treatment and reporting roles are clarified at the beginning.

What if I need more than 12 sessions?
Brent discusses your ongoing care with you. Axis then consults Health and Welfare to seek funding for further sessions, subject to review and approval.
What information is shared with Health and Welfare?
Funding reviews involve brief, general information. Brent discusses this with you, including consent, confidentiality and any limits that apply.
