Workplace and funded services

Psychological care with the professional context made clear.

Support for workplace distress and occupational trauma, including third-party funded referrals with clear funding, reporting and clinical roles.

Work-related concerns

Work can be the source of distress, the setting where it appears, or both.

Therapy can address symptoms and coping while also considering the organisational, relational and ethical realities surrounding the person.

Workplace stress and burnout

Sustained overload, difficult systems, role strain, depleted capacity or loss of confidence.

Conflict and organisational change

Bullying concerns, investigations, restructuring, redundancy or challenging team relationships.

Occupational trauma

Critical incidents, repeated exposure, moral injury or events that continue to affect work and home life.

Return to work and adjustment

Psychological support while navigating recovery, changed duties, uncertainty or career transition.

Funded referrals

A funding source does not remove the need for informed consent.

When an employer, insurer, agency or other third party is involved, Axis first clarifies what has been authorised, what the referrer is asking Brent to do and what communication is expected.

The client should know who receives information, the purpose of any report and any relevant limits before proceeding. If the requested role creates a conflict, Axis may recommend a different pathway.

Include the funding details with the referral.

Send the program name, approval details, referral purpose and contact information so Axis can arrange the funded appointment.

Common questions

Roles, funding and communication.

How does a third-party funded referral begin?

Send the referral reason, funding approval and requested professional role to Axis. The reporting and billing arrangements are explained before the first appointment.

What information will be shared with a funder or employer?

The reporting arrangement should be clear from the beginning. Brent will explain the purpose, expected communication and limits of confidentiality, and will seek consent where required.

Can Axis provide an independent assessment as well as therapy?

Therapy and independent assessment are different professional roles. They are not automatically combined, and a separate assessor may be needed to protect objectivity and the therapeutic relationship.
