Veterans, serving members and families

Experienced therapy with the service context understood.

Current or former serving ADF members, and eligible family members, can access funded psychological support through Open Arms. Contact Axis to arrange the referral and appointment.

What therapy may address

The person, the service history and the current life.

Therapy may involve trauma and critical incidents, transition and role change, hyperarousal, sleep, anger, grief, relationships, injury, alcohol or other coping patterns and the strain experienced by family.

Assessment considers the wider context and the person's own goals. The approach may include practical strategies, trauma-focused methods and deeper work with longstanding patterns where useful.
